Stand up to Racism, Unite Against Fascism and Love Music Hate Racism have together called for a national unity demo against the fascist and racist right on Saturday 17 November and unions voted to get involved with the organisation of the demo, along with the support of community groups and senior figures in the Shadow Cabinet.

UNISON is fully supporting this demonstration and calling for a massive presence from its members. The Branch will be providing limited transport on the day.

Contact Branch Office to register your place.

FRIDAY 23RD NOVEMBER 2018

As you may have already heard, UNISON is holding a national celebration day for school support staff on Friday 23 November 2018 called ‘Stars in our Schools’. Last year thousands of children, staff and parents in schools across the UK took part.

Please join us in celebrating the positive role of the whole school support staff team in making your school a safe and happy place for children to learn.

UNISON came into being on 1st July 1993 by merging NALGO, NUPE and COHSE into the biggest trade union in the UK. Since then we have gone from strength to strength and we are taking this opportunity to celebrate 25 years of achievements.

Look out for events planned during the coming year. There is also a booklet listing some of the great achievements UNISON has won for its members - download here.
